Public Safety Updates:

Wildlife Activity

There have been several animals struck by vehicles within our community and along Bent Tree Drive recently. Please be aware we are now in the most active period of the year for deer activity, and bears are still quite busy. We ask that drivers obey our 20MPH speed limit and be very attentive to your surroundings. Our team will be actively enforcing speed with a combination of the speed trailer and handheld lasers.

Last year around this time, our team dealt with a very sad incident involving a deer that got a small plastic halloween bucket stuck on its head (pictured below). Decorations, yard décor, and other items such as that which present hazards to wildlife should not be left outdoors.

Administration & Board Updates:

The Bent Tree Board of Directors will hold a work session on Tuesday, November 12th, at 9:00 AM in the lower level of Club Tamarack. You can view the agenda for the session by clicking here.

The Bent Tree Administrative Office will be closed on Monday in observance of Veterans Day.

News From Bent Tree Realty

News from the Animal Shelter

What is the most special but unknown thing about Bent Tree??? That we have our own state licensed animal shelter up behind the cottage by the front gate. Lots of folks still don’t know we exist so please share about us.

We save and adopt out or return to the home they are lost from , many, many dogs and cats each year. ( and an occasional pig)

Right now we have a shelter of wonderful cats and kittens that need homes. We have an older cat who needs a medical foster. The shelter is too stressful for her. She takes a pill twice a day in a little cheese and loves it. We have big personalities to very timid , all colors and all ages.  We have a wonderful sweet dog in a foster home looking for a forever home.

If you are interested or just curious to see the shelter or meet Mia (dog)  please text or call LuAnn at 678-414-1047  or ask any volunteer . We will gladly meet you there to visit.
