Public Safety Updates:

PUBLIC SAFETY DAY RECAP & THANKS

Thank you to the Bent Tree Foundation, those who attended, and the residents who contributed their time and money to make the 3rd annual Public Safety Day event a major success. Special thanks also to the great Life Flight Pilots / Medics for stopping by and Pickens County FD for bringing their Fire Safety Funhouse. Our goal of providing educational and fun experiences to the community was accomplished. All the stations and activities were very popular, and the kids had a blast! Pictures have been posted on the Bent Tree website and can be viewed with the following link:

Administration & Board Updates:

Bent Tree Annual Meeting: TOMORROW

The Bent Tree Annual Meeting will be held on Sunday, the 13th at 2PM.  We encourage all residents to attend this meeting.  In addition to announcing the results of the elections, the following reports will be presented and discussed at this meeting:

  • President's Report by Buddy Creef

  • Treasurer's Report by Ralph Morse and Melissa Leach

  • General Manager's Report by Jim Pryor

The Board of Directors will be meeting at Club Tamarack for the next three Tuesday mornings at 9AM to develop the Bent Tree 2025 budget.  Additional items of business may be discussed and decided as needed.  All property owners are invited to the meetings.

Over the past 13 years, the Bent Tree Foundation has funded grants for Pickens County teachers to supplement materials needed for classroom instruction. Thus far, the Foundation has distributed $93,000.

For the 2024-2025 school year, we had 16 teachers submit grant applications for a total request of approximately $14,700. We have $7,000 in funds we can distribute. The grant committee, which is made up of former educators, decided to fully fund seven grants and partially fund five.

Thus, the total money given back to the community is $100,000! We cannot do this work without you. We encourage you to attend Wines of the World, a fabulous evening at Club Tamarack with all the wine and food you would like to enjoy. Additionally, we will have many beautiful, upscale raffle prizes to be given away!

Please see more details further into Friday News.

Space is limited, so please RSVP with Coach Bob at 770-877-0884 to claim your spot. We supply all equipment needed. Please wear court shoes for safety purposes.

  • Oct 22nd – Joy House Tournament @ 1:30 PM

Saturday morning, we’ll be serving a buffet-style breakfast instead of plated breakfast due to a large golf event.
