Emergency Evacuation Assistance Form

Bent Tree Safety & Emergency Management is ensuring we have updated information to properly deploy resources in the event of an evacuation. If any member of your household will need special assistance during an emergency evacuation, please complete the form below and return to our team at the Front Gate or via email to publicsafety@bent-tree.com. This should be done even if you have completed a similar form in the past. EVACUATION ASSISTANCE FORM

BENT TREE RECYCLING – THINK and READ BEFORE YOU THROW!

**PLEASE READ THE YES SIDE OF THE RECYCLING POSTER ON THE BULLETIN BOARD NEXT TO THE RECYCLING DOOR AND THE SIGNAGE AT THE RECYCLING DOOR.

If you have any doubt – throw it into the trash or ask Public Safety if it is allowed.

EXAMPLE – Aluminum Beverage cans YES recycle.  (That does not say aluminum foil, fence, poles, doors etc.) These items are all contaminants in our load.

Contamination in our recycling loads will cause our processor, West Rock in Marietta to discontinue our recycling.

Please focus on what is allowed and do NOT put anything else into the recycling. What we can recycle is 100% based on what West Rock allows. If you have moved from an area where you could recycle other items, it is because the processor accepted those items.  Anything not on our approved list can NOT go into our recycling.

Don’t be the person who makes us lose our recycling by throwing in contamination.

The Bent Tree Water Dept., in conjunction with BTFD, will be flow testing fire hydrants beginning June 12th. This is required to exercise hydrants and pressure reducing valves while establishing flows to maintain ISO ratings. We will be conducting a directional flush that will begin at the respective water tanks and flow downward throughout each system. By doing a directional flush, it is anticipated that water discoloration will be minimized. Only a minimal number of hydrants will be flushed each day to allow water dept. employees to adequately flush mains afterwards. The flow testing process will take several weeks to complete. There will be no testing during the week of Youth Fest. The initial area will be on Shadowick Mtn. tank to encompass the Denny Ridge section along with Sassafras Mtn. Updates will be provided ahead of time for other sections.

Thank you for your cooperation,

Ashley Brownell

These 2 beautiful boys have joined us at the Bent Tree Animal Shelter. No one has come  forward as their families so next week they will be on our list of adoptable kitties . If either of these kitties is yours please contact LuAnn Chambers 678-414-1047.

Bunco – beautiful and sweet boy . Bunco is  almost all black , except  a little white spot on his neck .  He is about 1 ½ to 2 years old, has not been  neutered , but will be soon .  Bunco has had some rough times being lost, but  injuries are healing well and  he is a healthy boy.

Xavier  is a neutered male long hair grey and white kitty . Very friendly . He is wondering where his family is but in the mean time we are taking good care of him and giving him a lot of attention .

If you are interested in meeting either of these boys or any of our other great kitties please contact LuAnn  678-414-1047 or any of the shelter volunteers.
