Public Safety Updates:

SMOKE ALARM BASICS

Properly functioning smoke alarms are very important for home fire safety. We recommend smoke alarms be tested on a monthly basis. Smoke alarms should be present in every sleeping room, outside each sleeping area, and on every level of your home. It is best for the alarms to be interconnected, so that when one sounds they all will. Please follow the link below to our website to access a short video on smoke alarm basics. It’s great for children, so please share with them.

A Note From the Pools

The pools will be closing at 8:00PM for the rest of the season. The last day the pools will be open is September 14th. We are no longer offering concessions due to low demand.

Thank you again for all the excitement around the pools this season, Roger and his team feel the love!

Administration & Board Updates:

Board Meeting

The Board of Directors met on Tuesday , the 27th.  During the meeting a budget amendment was approved to finalize the Tavern project.  Action was also taken to consolidate Bent Tree’s bank accounts in an effort to maximize interest without adding risk.  By consolidating the accounts, Bent Tree expects to increase interest income and decrease bank fees by a total of about $25,000 per year.    A recording of the meeting can be found here

News From the Courts Pro

Our 14th Annual Tennis Scholarship Tournament is fast approaching. Be sure to join us for this fun and worthy event. You’ll be glad you did. Also please patron our sponsors should you be in the market for their services. It’s a great way to say thank you for supporting Bent Tree!

Thank you!

Coach Bob

Thank you!

We’re thrilled to share that our new menus have been very well received! If you haven’t had a chance to stop by, now’s the perfect time to come in and try our fresh offerings. We’ve had some very busy dinner and lunch services, and to keep up with demand, we’ve increased our staffing so you can expect top-notch service every time you visit. Please come in so we can continue to keep the extra staff scheduled.

We will be operating the beverage cart on Labor Day, stocked with all your favorite beverages, hot dogs, and turn sandwiches. So, bring your cash!

A huge thank you to everyone who came out for the mobile cigar bar last night—it was a huge hit!

We’re also excited to announce that we’ll be extending our bar area, so please note that the Tavern will be closed from September 8th to 10th for these renovations. During this time, our Turn Menu will still be available, and the cart attendant will be out during most hours to keep you refreshed. We’ll keep you updated as we get closer to these dates.

Be sure to join us for Karaoke on Saturday the 7th before we close for three days.

If you’ve received your Echo this month, you already know we’re hosting a grand reopening party on September 27th from 5-8 PM. Engelheim Vineyards will be there, pouring complimentary wine and teaching you all about the new wines we carry. You’ll also find Rolling Smoke Mobile Cigar Bar again, live music, putting contests, cornhole, oversized bowling for the kids, and more. Come celebrate with the staff who have been working so hard to change the energy at the Tavern!

Lastly, we’re working hard to get our mobile POS tablets up and running smoothly. However, we've been experiencing some server issues that have caused them to crash nearly daily. We promise to have these up and running as soon as we work out the technical kinks. Thanks for your patience as we continue to improve your experience at the Tavern.

News from The Stables

Thanks are in order for some hard working folks this week! In preparation for repainting of our fences we had several volunteers give their time and energy at the stables to help pressure wash fences and remove weeds from paddocks. The helpers were Rich Vigue, David Stewart, Ed Pichette, Dane Chambers, Bill McNulty, and Mike Chambers with additional support and equipment from Ashley and the Bent Tree water department. We appreciate the hard work and effort that went into improving our facility. Thank you all so very much!

News from the Animal Shelter

Thank you Bent Tree Friends of the Animal Shelter ! Our first golf tournament fundraiser was a huge success. Your  generosity was beyond our expectations. All of you who  - played golf, donated money, or volunteered in any way for the event - we can not  thank you enough. The golf tournament fundraiser was unbelievable because you care about the dogs and cats that find their way to our shelter. A special thank  you to Charles Rice for organizing the event , Patrick  for supporting our cause , Taree and the Tavern folks for being open Monday .  We are humbled by your care and support. Once again Thank You from all of our volunteers and all our 4 legged babies we care !

Psst… don’t forget we have lots of kittens and cats needing homes. Call or text 678-414-1047 to meet them.
