Administration Notices
A Message from the Board President
You Spoke, We Heard

The Tavern at the 19th Hole received a lot of love earlier this week. A large turnout at the Board of Directors work session Tuesday resulted in a chorus of requests that the summer food service schedule be amended to offer more meals and service hours at the Tavern. And that will happen. Administration is currently reconfiguring the schedule. Food service will continue to be offered at different times at both the Tavern and Club Tamarack. Details of the new hours and locations will be announced soon.

Board Meeting
The Bent Tree Board of Directors will be holding a Monthly Board Meeting on Tuesday, March 28, 2023 in the Recreation Room at Club Tamarack at 9 am.

This is an in person meeting and will be videoed for later viewing.

A link of the recorded meeting will be sent out next Friday in the Friday News.

Recycling Info ♻️

Warmer weather brings out new plastic lawn chairs, plastic flower pots, plastic children’s swimming pools, beach balls, little tyke's yard toys, plastic weed, bug and paint sprayers, plastic lawn decor, foam coolers, and plastic everywhere.  What about the old - where does it go? Even if they say #1 or #2, they DO NOT go in our recycling.  No matter what the number on the bottom or side is, none of these go in our recycling.

What we can recycle is determined by the recycling processor we have and they will not accept any of these items. They require special handling.  Items that have toxic chemicals, weed spray, bug spray, motor oil, gas, diesel, etc. can NEVER go into our recycling.

Dumping these items into recycling could cause us to lose our recycling ability and generate a fine for you.

Big bulky items that you need to dispose of may be taken to the Pickens County garbage and recycling at 390 Appalachian Court, Jasper, Ga.

Yes, there is an Animal Shelter in Bent Tree!  So many people still do not know this.  Please spread the word.  Your Bent Tree Animal Shelter needs homes for cats and dogs.

We have 14 wonderful cats that deserve homes. And we have one great dog who loves people who is just waiting for a family.

All care, feeding, scooping, playing, and walking is done by volunteers and all our funding is donated. Please call or text to set up a time to visit 678-414-1047. Fancy Feast canned food and clumping litter are always needed.  These items may be left on the shelter front porch or in The Cottage if raining. Financial donations go through the Bent Tree Foundation - 501c3 .
