The Board of Directors work sessions have been serving as an excellent opportunity for the board and community members to discuss key issues related to Bent Tree. We have two items on next week's agenda that we'd like your input on.
There will be a discussion about the idea of establishing an initiation fee for new lot and homeowners. This would be a means to raise money for infrastructure upgrades, and a chance for new residents to contribute towards the improvements that have already taken place. There is currently no specific proposal to amend our governing documents to allow this, but we'd like to hear your views.
There also will be a general discussion about the future of the campground, 28 acres Bent Tree owns at the corner of Bent Tree Drive and Cove Road. Again, there are no current plans for utilizing this vacant property, but it is one of the top assets we own and serves as the entrance to our community.
If you can't make the 9 a.m. meeting Tuesday at Club Tamarack, you can contact the board via email at boardcomments@bent-tree.com.
