Public Safety Updates:

Annual Vehicle and Transponder Update

Public Safety is beginning the process of auditing and updating accounts for vehicle and transponder information. For now, we are simply reviewing the information with residents as they come in for transponder additions or vehicle changes. However, soon we will begin making contact via phone and email with residents to confirm the vehicles on their account. We have made this process increasingly convenient each year and plan on it going very smoothly. Be on the lookout for an email from Public Safety to confirm your information. If you do not see it by the end of November, please contact us 770-893-2628 from 8:00AM – 5:00PM on weekdays to review your account.

Please begin reaching out to preferred guests with transponders associated with your accounts to confirm their tag numbers, and also ensure any changes to license plate numbers or vehicles from your own property have been reported to our department. Thank you.

Administration & Board Updates:

The Bent Tree Annual Meeting was held on the 13th of October.  Votegrity reported that a total of 485 votes were recorded with the following results.

Brian Feehan 341

Ken Hertaus 214

Scott Hux 284

David Johnson 274

We welcome Brian, Scott, and David to the 2025 Board of Directors and thank Ken for running.

On reallocation of the Capital Improvement Assessment, the vote was 391 for and 91 against so that resolution passed.  Because of that change, the Capital Contribution Fee, and other moves that the board has made, we anticipate paving projects in excess of $1M in 2025, 2027, and 2029.  This is approximately twice the paving budget in recent years.

Legends of Bent Tree

This Sunday, October 27th, the Bent Tree Arts Council will provide a sensory literary experience for our residents! You will be able to join a small group walking tour through the paths of the Sallie Doss Nature Trail while pausing at various spots on the trail to hear a tale of triumph, sorrow, laughter and mystique. The untold legends have a direct link to the immediate lands within our very own Bent Tree Community. “Untold Legends of Bent Tree” is open to ages 12 and older.   Secure a spot on two of the remaining walks that are not sold out. A flashlight is needed for your safety.  Cookies and Apple Cider will be provided at the end of each Legend walk. We request a $5.00 donation per person to BTAC to secure your position on the legends trail.

There is a walk at 6:30pm and 8:30pm that still has openings. The 7:30pm trail walk is sold out.
