Course Etiquette Reminder:
We've noticed some after-hours activity on the golf course with kids riding bikes. While walking the course after hours is allowed, please remember to stay on the cart paths for safety and course maintenance reasons.
Beverage Cart Success:
Our new beverage cart has been a big hit! It's now easier than ever to enjoy refreshments while you play. As a friendly reminder, Bent Tree encourages you to purchase your food and beverages from the Tavern or the Pro Shop. The convenience of the beverage cart enhances your on-course experience.
Pet Policy on the Course:
We are still seeing dog waste around hole 6. If you walk your dog here, please clean up after them. If you live near the course and allow your dog to roam off-leash, please be aware that they may be making a mess on the course. The Pro Shop and Public Safety are working to address this issue, and we appreciate your cooperation.
Thank you for helping us maintain the beauty and integrity of Bent Tree Golf Course. Enjoy your weekend and happy golfing!

This time of year is perfect for taking walks in the evening, when the weather is ideal and a breeze may be gently blowing. You may find yourself meandering down by the paddocks that lead up to the stables, by the quarry, where there are picnic tables and a quiet off the beaten path place to watch the sunset. You may be alone or with children. You will inevitably be attracted to the horses, something magnetic will pull you to the fence. That curious creature who weighs more than one thousand pounds will saunter over to you, hoping you have brought some kind of treat to eat, and that horse will put its head over the fence and nod knowingly at you. Before you realize it, you will reflexively put your hand out to pet the beast. STOP. JUST STOP! There are about 40 teeth in that mouth. Are all dogs friendly? Are all cats friendly? No. And one should be cautious approaching a strange animal, especially a big animal, no matter how sweet it looks, no matter how gentle it seems, no matter how soulful those big brown eyes are and especially no matter if you once rode it on the trail. There are signs posted for YOUR safety. No Feeding. Not Petting No Entry. Please read the signs to young people who have not yet learned to read. We love our animals and want to keep them and YOU safe. If you want to pet or feed the horses, call and speak to staff about how you can connect with the Bent Tree Stables safely. (706) 692-6322. See you at the stable! |

News from the Animal Shelter |
This very friendly boy was found last week on Quail Trot off Starcross . We are calling him Alpine and he is still wondering where his family is. He loves petting and is good with being held. Either he got lost from his home or someone “dumped” him because he was definitely a pet.
Sweet Potato is our 8 month old spayed girl puppy . She loves every person she meets. She needs a home!
We have 2 little white kittens that can be pre-adopted but are too young to leave their siblings. (calico is pre- adopted)
If you know Alpine , have interest in Sweet Potato or are interested in meeting any of the cats / kittens please text or call 678-414-1047 |

Thank you to Laura McGinn for sharing this article from the Progress so we can plan accordingly:
This wreck in May which caused Cove Road to be closed for most of a day, has "accelerated" plans to do work on the section commonly called the S Curves.
Watch for Cove Road closure June 4-6 BY DAN POOL ON MAY 31, 2024
The city of Jasper announced at a work session Thursday they will be working on shoulders, retaining barriers and overhanging trees along the portion of Cove Road between the intersection of Still Hollow and Grandview Road June 4-6th. This will result in road closures between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Mayor Kirk Raffield said a wreck in that section which brought crews there earlier this month had “accelerated” this project. |
