WINTER WEATHER UPDATE

Please see the below statement from the National Weather Service regarding wintry precipitation today.

..A LIGHT DUSTING OF SNOW IS POSSIBLE ACROSS THE HIGHER TERRAIN OF FAR NORTH GEORGIA...

A low pressure system will bring the potential for light snow showers to far north Georgia this afternoon into this evening. Snow showers are expected to taper off after midnight. A light dusting of snowfall is possible, mainly under half an inch at elevations of 2000 feet or higher, though up to an inch is possible on the western slopes of the highest peaks.

As you can see, it is already snowing. Although it appears that this weather event will not be significant, a “dusting” can lead to hazardous conditions on our mountainous roads. We highly recommend residents plan to stay home to avoid being potentially stranded away this evening. Our team will monitor the roads throughout the evening and provide email updates with any significant changes. Happy New Year from The Courts!

Let us help with your Resolution to learn Pickleball this upcoming year. We start at 5pm and drop the Pickle at 8’ish (clocks will be adjusted to show Midnight for picture purposes, just to look official). Hope you’ll join us and experience yourself all the fun and laughter that takes place on the courts. May 2024 be the best year ever for you and yours.

Tavern will be closing this Sunday, New Years Eve, at 3 PM after brunch.

News from the Animal Shelter

HELP! We need foster homes and adoptions. our shelter is full, and our volunteers are maxed out. Last week we got 3 more kittens found in 2 different locations in Bent Tree. Two black kittens about 14 weeks and a 9-week calico kitten.

If you are wondering if you should adopt then maybe try fostering to see if adding a cat or kitten fits your family.
