Administrative Updates:

19th HOLE PROJECT UPDATE

Our contractor will be conducting work in the women's locker room on Monday, November 13th. To ensure the safety of everyone involved, the entire front lobby and restroom areas will be temporarily blocked off and covered with plastic. The Tavern will already be closed for the day.

However, please note that the Pro Shop will remain open, and you are welcome to enter through the back entrance. To accommodate your restroom needs, portable toilets will be available in the cart area.

IMPORTANT REMINDER:

It is especially important at this time of year with all the leaves falling that residents keep the culverts under their driveways clear of leaves and other debris. Failure to do so can disrupt normal drainage and cause leaves to be strewn on the roadways causing a hazard.

Board of Directors Updates:

Public Safety Updates:

RULES AMEMENDMENT-CONTRACTOR TRANSPONDERS

An amendment to the rules to allow vetted contractors to purchase transponders has been presented to the Board of Directors, who will have an opportunity to vote on it at the Board meeting Tuesday, November 14th. There are many benefits to this program listed below.

- Contractors with jobs near the back gate would not have to drive as much within the community to get to their destination. This results in less damage to our roads and fewer traffic incidents involving contractor vehicles.

- Contractors with transponders will be held responsible through the program for their own speeding fines.

- Residents using contractors with transponders will not have to call them in to Public Safety.

- Gate operations will run smoother with fewer backups at the Front Gate.

There will be a thorough application and vetting process for interested contractors, and we have the capability to audit their entry times through either gate. Entry at unauthorized times or for illegitimate purposes will result in the involved contractor losing transponder access.

Below is a link to see the proposed changes to our rules. Words that have been struck through would be eliminated, and highlighted items are new. The majority of strikethroughs simply eliminate verbiage that is no longer applicable to our rules.

Congratulations to Jay Biddle, 2023 Foley Cup Winner. Jay won the 9 hole playoff on Saturday afternoon, fending off the challenge from the other Top 7 qualifiers. The Foley Cup was named after Bob Foley, a former MGA participant and Bent Tree Member and is a year long points race for MGA players who play the most consistently over the course of the year. Well done Jay!
