Public Safety Updates:

SPRING AND SUMMER SPEED ENFORCEMENT

From baby bears and deer to increased pedestrian and golf cart traffic, the next several months bring much activity to our roads. It is more important than ever for Bent Tree drivers to be attentive and drive slowly. There has also been an influx in recent speeding complaints.

To address this major community concern, our team will be utilizing the speed trailer along with handheld speed detection lasers in ALL SECTIONS of Bent Tree. We do not like issuing citations, so please ensure your family members and guests are aware of the increased enforcement and our community speed limit of 20 MPH unless posted otherwise.

Additionally, to properly address residents’ concerns, we have created a “Speed Complaint Form” accessible through the link below. You can fill the form out electronically and email it to michaelkoorey@bent-tree.com or complete it by hand and turn it in at the Front Gate. Please provide as much detail as possible when completing the form, so we can take the best actions to help. Some fields on the form will not be applicable to all complaints.

Architectural Compliance Officer Updates:

Consider the following:

If every residence in Bent Tree spends a little time improving the look of their road frontage, yard, driveway, porch, deck, and other areas of their property, we can greatly enhance the overall look of Bent Tree.

I'm thinking about starting (with a hopeful blessing from Lake and Wildlife) a litter pickup day in each section of the neighborhood.  (i.e. Chestnut Cove, Coffey Cove, Denny Ridge, Hendricks Mountain, Little Pine Mountain, Mole Mountain, Oglethorpe Mountain, Sharp Top Mountain, and the Villas.  Residents in each section could meet on weekends with decent weather, wear vests for increased visibility, and safely work together to help clean up our areas.

We should take pride in our neighborhood and that starts with us.  It may not take money, but it will require sweat equity and good-natured volunteerism.  Keep Bent Tree Beautiful!

We extend our gratitude to Jessi Barton and Sharon Greene for their efforts in organizing and delivering such an insightful session. News from the Animal Shelter

The shelter has gotten 4 new cats in the last 2 weeks. All are very friendly and all had already been fixed when we got them!!! These are lost, dumped, or left cats.

They are safe now and if no one claims them we will get them  homes. Please look at these pictures.

If you want to help walk dogs we can use additional folks on our team. When we have a dog we schedule multiple walks from early morning to just before the dog’s bed time.
We can always use clumping cat litter and  fancy feast canned cat food .

If you have any questions, want to volunteer, or set up a visit text or call LuAnn 678-414-1047
