Public Safety Updates:

Falls Prevention Class – April 13th @ Club Tamarack

On Saturday, April 13th at 9:00AM, Bent Tree Public Safety will be partnering with The Lodge at Stephens Lake to hold a Falls Prevention Class in the Recreation Room of Club Tamarack. Approximately one half of the medical calls our department responds to are related to falls, and some involve very serious injuries. Falling is a significant health threat that we want to help people overcome. Residents who struggle with falling or are close to someone who does are strongly encouraged to attend. The class will last approximately two hours and refreshments will be served.

Attendees will be taught the most common contributing factors to falls. Exercises will be demonstrated to help you stay strong to prevent falls or reduce injury if one occurs. Instructors will share how to prevent falls around the home with tips on keeping your physical environment a fall-free space. The information that will be shared during this free event could make a major difference in the lives of those who have issues with falls.

We are passionate about improving the quality of life for our residents, and providing education like this is a great way to accomplish that. We hope there is a tremendous turnout for this free and very beneficial class. Please register as soon as possible by calling Jessi Barton at 706-307-4330 or emailing her at jessi@thelodgeatstephenslake.com.
