Board of Directors Updates:

Town Hall Meeting – March 7 – Rec Room at Club Tamarack

Several years ago, the Board of Directors established an Ad Hoc Committee to review community documents and recommend changes that would clarify and/or update the documents.

Last year the community voted on and approved By-law changes that were recommended by the Documents Committee. The committee also reviewed the CC&R’s and made recommendations for changing them.

This year the Documents Committee’s recommendations have been reviewed by the appropriate standing committees and the Board of Directors and it is intended that the changes will be submitted to the residents for a vote later this year.

The first step in this process is to meet with the community to discuss the proposed changes and to see if there are other changes the community would like to see. This Town Hall Meeting will be held on March 7th at 6:00PM in the Rec Room at Club Tamarack. Please plan to attend.

So that you might review the changes prior to the meeting, they have been posted to the website. You can view them here.

There are only 6 days left to renew transponders for 2024. Don’t wait any longer! Many residents have already handled this and found the new process to be very quick and easy. Transponders not renewed before 3/1/2024 will be deactivated. Because of the major audit completed last year, the process for 2024 renewal is much simpler. Meet the Horses

Dude is a Quarter horse. He is the golden horse, not in color, but because of who he is. Actually, his color is quite interesting and different from any other horse at the stables. Dude is a dun color with a dark stripe running down the center of his back, or dorsal, but Dude gets even more exotic because he also is a grullo (grullo for boys, grulla for girls, originating form the Spanish word for crane). Grullo is an unusual hair type. Only 0.7% of Quarter horses registered each year with the AQHA are grullo. An easy way to tell whether a horse is grullo is by the markings, which may include a dark face, dark mottling on the body, dark ear tips and edging, and dark dorsal stripe. Dude is a dream ride. He knows dressage, western, English, barrels, jumping and more. He has such a good disposition. He gets along with all the horses, but he like to be a loner. Dude is great for any rider, novice or advanced because he senses the rider. If a rider is off balance in the saddle, Dude will stop walking until the rider straightens out. During summer camp, Dude is a favorite because of his skill and temperament. Of course, being such an amiable fellow Dude enjoys carrots and apples. Feel free to bring a donation to the barn. Call today to schedule your next visit or ride: (706) 692-6322. See you on the trails!
